Being in poverty is a full-time job. Bidwell Riverside Center is always striving to assist families to relieve the strain and allow them more time to do other important things. Our goal is to help in a way that will allow them to break the cycle of poverty.
We are a member of the Des Moines Area Religious Council (DMARC) Food Pantry Network and a proud partner of Food Bank of Iowa.
Services include: food, clothing, household items, toiletries/personals, feminine hygiene products, diapers, baby food, baby wipes, and incontinence products.
If you are unable to provide an ID, a limited amount of food is available every month.
Bidwell Riverside provides a comprehensive education and care program for children 24 months - 5 years. The center is open every weekday from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The center utilizes Creative Curriculum and has received a 4-star designation through the Quality Ratings System of Iowa.
