Planned Giving

Make a Lasting Impact

Bidwell has been serving the community for over 125 years, and we’d like to continue working towards a vision of a future where no one lives in poverty and every person has the opportunity for a positive future. That vision requires support and commitment from our generous donors, and planned giving helps ensure our services continue for generations to come.

There are many easy ways to make a planned gift:

  • A bequest in your will or living trust- a simple designation that costs you nothing now, but sustains our programs beyond your lifetime.

  • Beneficiary designation in your life insurance or individual retirement account- naming Bidwell as beneficiary of these assets is as easy as a phone call to your retirement plan administrator or insurance company, and updating your beneficiary form.

  • Charitable gift annuities- one way to have dependable income in your retirement years, this can provide you with regular payments while supporting our mission.

  • Tax-free gift of required minimum distributions from an IRA- give up to $100,000 annually from your IRA tax-free by transferring your required minimum distribution to Bidwell. This provides you a tax benefit, and allows us to use your contribution for our work today.

Send a Message

Through your planned gift, you send a message that you value our mission to lift up those who need help, provide for basic needs and educate children to help break the cycle of poverty.

Consider a planned gift to support our mission for years to come.
