Volunteer Opportunities
Welcome and thank you for your interest in volunteering at Bidwell Riverside Center and Hawthorn Hill. Working with families in need since 1893, volunteers are the heart of our organization.

New Volunteers
Volunteers are needed daily in the Food and Clothing Pantry. We welcome volunteers of any age. Suggested volunteer shifts are 2-3 hours. Volunteers help in a variety of ways which include:

Welcoming families into the pantry.

Guiding clients through their grocery-shopping experience.

Stocking and facing grocery aisles.

Sorting and organizing donations.

Yard work (includes mowing, raking, gardening, and maintaining flower beds)

Note: Children younger than 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult. The adult needs to sign up.

We welcome groups of all ages to come and help. Together, we can impact so many that are struggling here in our community.

We are very flexible and can accommodate most schedules.
We welcome groups of up to 75 volunteers.
We often have special projects that require volunteer manpower,
and can accommodate many interests and talents.
